A CLI Tool Built for Volume
We built a command-line tool that runs on the firm's own network.
A CLI suits this kind of job well. It has no interface to click through, so it can process large batches of documents in one run, be scheduled to run on its own, and slot into the firm's existing processes. The documents stay where they already live, and the tool comes to them.
Reading the Case Straight From the Document
The tool takes the firm's existing PDF documents and extracts the case information inside them. The firm doesn't have to change how it produces or stores those documents, and nobody has to copy the details out by hand.
Configured for Every State and County
Because every jurisdiction does things a little differently, the tool is driven by configuration for each state and county. The same core logic handles every case, and the configuration tells it what a particular court expects.
That design keeps the tool maintainable. When the firm takes on work in a new county, or a court changes its requirements, it's a configuration change, not a new version of the software.
Connected to the Courts Through Rapid Legal
To reach the courts, the tool integrates with Rapid Legal's APIs. Rapid Legal is an established electronic filing service provider, and its APIs let the tool update case data directly with US courts.
Using an approved filing provider matters in legal work. Updates travel through a channel the courts already recognize, not a workaround bolted onto someone else's website.
